Dr. Scott Demanes
Doctor
Dr. Scott Demanes was born and raised in Peoria, IL., and graduated from Woodruff High School. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois many moons ago. Dr. D opened Demanes Animal Hospital in 1992 and has felt privileged to provide exceptional veterinary care to his many clients. He has extended his home to various critters, including skunks, foxes, snakes, two sons, a daughter, a Labradoodle, Charlie, two Maltese, Violet and Willy, puppies, birds, and an occasional raccoon. Dr. D enjoys being outdoors, bird watching, hiking, fishing, and eating granola when given free time.
Dr. Addison Demanes
Doctor
Dr. Addison is the son of Dr. Scott Demanes, who was born while his father was finishing veterinary school. He spent his younger days in Peoria playing sports and collecting a variety of critters. He graduated from Peoria Notre Dame, the University of Illinois, St. Matthews University, and the University of Georgia and obtained his DVM in 2015. He shares his home with Jake, the black labrador, and Theo, the french bulldog. He enjoys many outdoor activities, including scuba diving, fishing, gardening, and rooting for his favorite sports teams.
Angie
Veterinary Technician
Angie began working for Demanes Animal Hospital in 1999. She has spent most of her adult life working with animals and could never imagine doing anything else. Angie’s family consists of four well-behaved dogs, two schnauzers, Haylee and Whitney, and two labs, Cate and Timber. Angie enjoys spending time at home cuddling with her furry kids and swooning over Luke Bryan.
Laurie
Office Manager
Laurie started with Dr. Demanes when our doors first opened, on April 1st, 1992, and is very proud of the team we have become today. Laurie loves her job, co-workers, and clients. She has four handsome sons and six grandchildren. Laurie and her husband, Doug, love to spend their time outside camping and fishing with their family and her German Shorthair Pointer dog, Remi.
Teena
Veterinary Technician/Groomer
Teena has worked at Demanes Animal Hospital since March 1999 and has trained dogs since 1994. She shows her dogs obedience, agility, dock diving, and conformation. Teena currently has three dogs, a Rottweiler, Nova, and two German Shepherds, Nando and Sancho. Teena enjoys canine photography, canine behavior, and dog training and is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator and UKC Socialized Pet Obedience Tester.
Melissa
Veterinary Technician/CSR
Melissa has been working at Demanes Animal Hospital since 2003 when she was in high school. Her passion and goal is to help animals each day! Currently she has Winnie, a Caviler King Charles Spaniel. In her free time she loves doing fun activities with her husband and two daughters making memories and traveling.
Kelton Heathcoat
Veterinary Technician
Kelton has been with our hospital since 2020. She likes to spend time with her boyfriend and her two wild rescue pointers “Canik and Rooger”. Kelton loves hanging out with her friends and family.
Dr. Kyle Ihnken
Dr Kyle graduated in 2015 from Virginia Tech and started working in Saint Louis, Missouri. In 2023 Dr Kyle was asked to join the Demanes team. He used to work here as a kennel kid in high school and feels so happy to have come full circle and provide care to all of his friends and family. In his free time Dr Kyle enjoys playing golf, and spending time with his wife and two boys. They also have three dogs, Mable a lab mix, and two corgis Palmer and Rainy.
